Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Holds Official Talks with Tunisian President

Riyadh, Rabi'I 11, 1437, Dec 22, 2015, SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held official talks session at Al-Yamamah Palace here today with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi. During the talks session, they discussed bilateral relations; means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries; and the developments in the region. Following the talks session and in presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and President of Tunisia, a memorandum of understanding and three agreements between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia were signed. A memorandum of understanding in the field of civil protection and civil defense was co-signed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and Tunisian Minister of National Defense Farhat Horchani. An agreement on civil defense was co-signed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and Tunisian Minister of National Defense Farhat Horchani. A loan agreement between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Tunisian Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation to finance the construction of a power station in Tunisia was co-signed by Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf and Tunisian Minister of Finance Salim Shaker. A cooperation agreement to regulate transport of persons and goods by roads was co-signed by Minister of Transport Eng. Abdullah Al-Muqbil and Tunisian Minister of Finance Salim Shaker. The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense; and a number of senior officials. --SPA 19:23 LOCAL TIME 16:23 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
