More than 60 dead as Kandahar airport siege ends

Kabul, Safar 28, 1437, December 10, 2015, SPA -- More than 60 people have been killed following the Kandahar airport siege that started late Tuesday and lasted for more than 24 hours, said an official on Thursday, according to dpa. "The last attacker was killed around 8:15 pm last night," Defense Ministry spokesman Dawlat Waziri said. He said 38 civilians, including women and children, 10 Afghan army soldiers, 2 Afghan police, and 11 attackers were killed.
