Yangon, Safar 10, 1437, November 22, 2015, SPA -- The death toll from a landslide in northern Myanmar's Kachin state crossed 90 on Sunday, with more than 100 people still missing. "More than 90 bodies were found so far," the administrator of Hpakant town, Tint Swe Myint, told dpa by phone. The landslide took place on Saturday near jade and gold mines, when a 300-metre pile of waste rock accumulated during the mining process collapsed following rains in Hpakant, 350 kilometres north of Mandalay. Landslides are common in Hpakant, where 90 per cent of the world's jade is mined. --SPA 12:08 LOCAL TIME 09:08 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
