Stockholm, Muharram 16, 1437, Oct 29, 2015, SPA -- A well-preserved 1,200-year-old sword has been found in western Norway, raising questions about the owner's fate, an archaeologist said Thursday, according dpa reported. The blade is about 68 to 70 centimetres long, and is from the early Viking age, or 750 to 800 AD, archaeologist Jostein Aksdal told dpa. The man kept the sword for some time before recently handing it over to a local museum after being told by an acquaintance it could be an old sword. Aksdal, who is with Hordaland County Council, said the find site has yet to be investigated. Snowy and difficult weather conditions have prevented this. -- SPA 19:48 LOCAL TIME 16:48 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
