Islamabad, Muharram 07, 1437, October 20, 2015, SPA -- Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif travelled Monday to the United States for meetings with President Barack Obama and other senior officials, dpa reported. In talks Thursday at the White House, Obama is to brief Sharif on the US decision to extend the deployment of troops in Afghanistan and discuss security cooperation between the countries, spokesman Josh Earnest said. "The visit will highlight the enduring nature of the US-Pakistan relationship," he said. Talks will include economic and trade issues, clean energy, global health, climate change and nuclear security, he said. Sharif will meet Obama administration cabinet members and congress members, the Pakistani Foreign Office said.
