Ministry of Health Puts forward Truth about Cases of Flu H1N1 Circulated in Newspapers, Websites

Riyadh, Dhu-AlHijjah 29, 1436, Oct 13, 2015, SPA -- Ministry of Health made it clear in response to what was raised in some newspapers and websites, for the emergence of cases of the disease H1N1 flu that the disease has currently become a seasonal disease and is no more an epidemic. The latest cases have been reported in a timely manner, in the framework of the approach of transparency adopted by the Ministry of Health, in dealing with the media, in an effort to promote confidence with all segments and categories of the community. Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Faisal bin Saied Al-Zahrani said that the announcement of these cases is not inconsistent with the statement of the Ministry of Health announced by the Minister of Health Engineer Khalid Al-Falih at the end of the pilgrimage for the year 1436 AH, and confirmed the absence of Hajj season of epidemics and quarantine diseases as certified by the World Health Organization, which was closely following and monitoring various procedures and work of the ministry before and during the pilgrimage season.
