Berlin, Dhu-AlHijjah 11, 1436, Sep 25, 2015, SPA -- The Berlin Brandenburg Airport is likely to open as planned in the second half of 2017 despite a temporary stop to construction work, dpa cited the supervisory board as announcing ahead of a meeting on Friday. "I don't think that the opening date will be affected by this disaster," the board's deputy chairman Rainer Bretschneider said. Construction work at the airport's terminal building was halted Monday because of "significant violations" of weight loads of ventilators on the roof. The airport's supervisory board was due on Friday to discuss the structural analysis of the building and the expansion of the airport. --SPA 12:05 LOCAL TIME 09:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
