Arafat, 09 Dhu-AlHijjah,1436 , 23 September,2015, SPA -- The Command of the Civil Defense Forces in Hajj announced that at 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday, and during the ascending of the pilgrims using Masher train to Arafat, a malfunction occurred in the automated system to lock the doors in train No.16 at station number 1 in Mina, which resulted in the gathering of a large numbers of pilgrims in station No. 3 in Mina. The Director of the Information Department of Civil Defense and Information Spokesman for the Civil Defense, Colonel Abdullah Al-Orabi Al-Harthy said in a statement today that because of the lengthy waiting period and severe overcrowding, more than "204" pilgrims suffered fainting, stress and fatigue, noting that urgent aid was provided to more than 204 cases of elderly and sick pilgrims and that all were treated at the scene and ascended to Arafat, except only (5) cases which were admitted to the hospital. -- SPA 16:03 LOCAL TIME 13:03 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
