Cairo, Dhu-AlQa'dah 29, 1436, September 13, 2015, SPA -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir confirmed that movement will be made at all levels to confront any act of aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation or the Israeli settlers against Al-Aqsa Mosque. "A discussion was conducted on the Palestinian issue and what is happening at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and how to deal with these aggressive moves by the Zionist enemy in an attempt to seize the mosque, as well as how to intensify the efforts of the Arab and Muslim countries to condemn these Israeli actions and confront them on all tracks, in accordance with the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and with unanimous approval of the Arab countries. We will begin to move on this front to deal with any act of aggression by Israel or Israeli settlers against Al-Aqsa Mosque", Al-Jubeir said in a press statement following the meetings of the session 144 of the Arab Foreign Ministers held in Cairo Sunday. With regard to the Syrian issue, the Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the Arab Foreign Ministers listened to what was conveyed by the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura on the United Nations efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis that leads to a transition period that does not include Bashar al-Assad, he added. "Arab Foreign Ministers were very clear with UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Syria about their views relating to moves or actions he is carrying out. There was an exchange of views with full transparency and clarity," Al-Jubeir said. At the conclusion of his statement, Al-Jubeir expressed his hope that these meetings will serve the unity of the Arab countries, unite their ranks and confront the challenges facing the Arab world and the region. --SPA 00:41 LOCAL TIME 21:41 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
