ISLAMABAD, Shawwal 28, 1436, Aug 13, 2015, SPA -- A high-level Afghan delegation arrived in Pakistan on Thursday to discuss security cooperation and peace efforts, AP reported. Pakistan has expressed hope the visit can help revive peace talks with the Taliban, which were suspended after last month's announcement of the death of longtime Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar. The Afghan delegation, which is headed by Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, met with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after arriving in Islamabad, said Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Qazi Khalilullah. He said the Afghan delegation was also to meet with senior security officials. Ghani's deputy spokesman Zafar Hashemi said the delegation includes national intelligence chief Rahmatullah Nabil and Acting Defense Minister Masoom Stanekzai. --SPA 18:55 LOCAL TIME 15:55 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
