World Assembly of Muslim Youth implements relief project for Central African refugees

Jeddah, Shawwal 26 1436 AH, August 11, 2015, SPA -- The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has carried out through its office in Cameroon a relief project for refugees from the Central African Republic after what happened to its Muslims who suffered gruesome and heinous crimes that led them to escape from death and hunger to neighboring countries, as shelters and means of salvation for them. In this respect, Cameroon received more than 50,000 refugees settled in many areas on the border with the Central African Republic. The World Assembly established a camp to include the largest possible number of refugees and their families; these efforts resulted in registering of the refugees and housing of 36 families so far. The camp consists of 6 residential units, each one containing 12 rooms and 8 toilets; and food was distributed to families. Also a well was drilled for providing safe and healthy drinking water and a workshop was opened for memorizing the Holy Quran. -- SPA 11:31 LOCAL TIME 08:31 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
