New Delhi/Islamabad, Ramadan, 23 1436 AH, July 10, 2015, SPA -- The prime ministers of India and Pakistan met Friday for the first time in more than a year, amid a recent outbreak of border clashes in the disputed Kashmir region, and stalled peace talks, dpa reported. At the meeting on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) summit, Premier Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif agreed their respective national security advisers should meet. The agenda would include tensions on the border, where dozens of civilians and soldiers have been killed on both sides since early 2013. The proposed talks in New Delhi would also cover issues connected to terrorism, officials from both sides announced after the meeting. They also suggested regular interaction between the heads of border security forces, Pakistani and Indian foreign secretaries said.
