Islamabad, Ramadan 16, 1436, Jul 3, 2015, SPA -- The death toll from a crash involving a train carrying Pakistani army officers and their families rose to 17, the military said Friday. The train with 200 people on board fell into a canal when the bridge it was on collapsed in the central province of Punjab on Thursday, dpa quoted military spokesman Major General Asim Bajwa as saying. At least 17 bodies had been recovered from the canal in Gujranwala district, Bajwa said. Divers were looking for more victims after two carriages were left completely submerged and another derailed, the spokesman said.
