UNITED NATIONS, Rabi'II 30, 1436, Feb 19, 2015, SPA -- The head of the U.N. Mission for Emergency Ebola Response Thursday hailed Liberia’s success in the fight against Ebola and cited a daily drop in cases from hundreds to less than 10. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed told reporters on his second visit to Liberia that the biggest risk now is fatigue and complacency. The West African nation has experienced the highest death toll from the Ebola epidemic, with 3,800 killed. Significant drops in cases there saw students return to schools Monday after a six-month closure. Almost 9,200 people have died since the first deaths from the virus in rural Guinea in December 2013. --SPA 19:14 LOCAL TIME 16:14 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
