Islamic Relief Provides Health Services to Countries in Need

Jeddah, Rabi'II 26, 1436, Feb 15, 2015, SPA -- The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) of Muslim World League (MWL) has provided over the past three months, a variety of health services to large numbers of chronic sick and insoluble cases in the number of needy countries represented in surgeries in some medical specialties and distribution of medicines as well as modern medical equipment. The IIRO Secretary General, Ehsan bin Saleh Tayyip explained that this assistance included conducting hundreds of surgical operations in the field of urology and ophthalmology in Sudan, Ghana and Somalia. He said it also provided the necessary treatment for thousands of children suffering from malnutrition in Somalia and Djibouti in collaboration with UNICEF, in addition to providing Al-Bader hospital, which is a subsidiary of IIRO in Pakistan with a variety of medical devices and providing the public hospitals in Daraa region of Syria with many of the medical supplies. --SPA 12:45 LOCAL TIME 09:45 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
