New York, Rabi'II 17, 1436, Feb 6, 2015, SPA -- Japan is not currently considering sending military assistance to fight ISIS militants, even after the extremist group executed two Japanese captives, Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Yasuhisa Kawamura said Thursday in New York, as dpa reported. Addressing journalists at United Nations headquarters, Kawamura said Japan will continue to provide non-military humanitarian assistance to countries in the region fighting the ISIS group, but is not considering putting boots on the ground "at this point of time." "Japan will never give in to terrorism," Kawamura said. "We will not change our path of peaceful contribution to the region." --SPA 13:12 LOCAL TIME 10:12 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
