Berlin, Rabi'I 18, 1436, January 09, 2015, SPA -- German exports and production fell in November, highlighting Europe biggest economy's struggle to recover from a weak patch in the middle of last year, data released Friday showed. Exports dropped for the second consecutive month, contracting by 2.1 per cent in November from 0.5-per-cent in October, dpa quoted the statistics office (Destatis) as saying. Output slipped by 0.1 per cent from October when it posted a 0.6-per-cent gain, Destatis said. Analysts surveyed by dpa-AFX had expected the data to show exports falling by 1 per cent in November and for a 0.6-per-gain in production. Imports, however, rose by a solid 1.5 per cent after tumbling by 3.3 per cent in October. The November rise in imports beat analysts' 0.5-per-cent forecast. -- SPA 10:58 LOCAL TIME 07:58 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
