Jeddah, Rabi'I 1, 1436, Dec 23, 2014, SPA -- Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is continuing its project of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to benefit from the sacrificial meat to be distributed to its beneficiaries in the Kingdom's regions, according to the approved distribution plan of Hajj season 1435 AH (2014). The plan includes the distribution of about "875,000" sacrifices of which "675,000" sacrifices will be distributed to the poor of the Holy Grand Mosque. The distribution included 270 charities in the various regions of the Kingdom, while more than "200,000" frozen sacrifices to their beneficiaries in "24" countries in Asia and Africa. In this context, a ship carrying 5000 frozen sacrifices arrived yesterday at the port of Banjul to be distributed to the beneficiaries in the Republic of The Gambia in West Africa, under the supervision of the IDB there, while a ship carrying 10,000 frozen sacrifices arrived last Friday at Dakar port of the Republic of Senegal to be distributed to the beneficiaries in Senegal. On the occasion, the IDB Group President, Dr. Ahmad Mohammed Ali extended thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince, for their unlimited support for this great charitable project, benefiting millions of the needy people in the world. --SPA 12:12 LOCAL TIME 09:12 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
