Manila, Safar 11, 1436, December 03, 2014, SPA -- Four soldiers and a suspected communist rebel were killed Wednesday in a clash in the southern Philippines, the military said, according to dpa. The soldiers on patrol at a road project in Bukidnon province, 880 kilometres south of Manila, when the clash occurred. Army spokesman Lieutenant Vergel Lacambra said the military received reports that communist rebels were planning to burn heavy equipment used in the road project.
