Al-Quds, Muharram 29, 1436, Nov 22, 2014, SPA -- Human Rights Watch, an international non-governmental organization that conducts research and advocacy on human rights, demanded Saturday that Israel immediately stop the punitive policy of demolishing family homes of Palestinians suspected of being involved in attacks against Israelis. According to WAFA, “Israel should impose an immediate moratorium on its policy of demolishing the family homes of Palestinians suspected of carrying out attacks on Israelis,” said the human rights organization in a press release. Contrary to Israeli claims that this policy is intended to deter such incidents, the human rights organization noted that it “deliberately and unlawfully punishes people not accused of any wrongdoing,” and that “when carried out in occupied territory, including East Al-Quds, it amounts to collective punishment and a war crime.” --SPA 23:49 LOCAL TIME 20:49 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
