The Saudi Ambassador to Australia pointed out that the kingdom organized a workshop "Energy Security" within the activities of the Group of Twenty in the city of Riyadh in 2010. The ambassador indicated that the kingdom contributes to supporting the efforts of poor countries to cope with the effects of the global financial crisis. On the contributions of the kingdom to the application of the recommendations of the Group of Twenty summit, Ambassador Al Saleh affirmed that the Kingdom contributed to the support of the International Monetary Fund resources to strengthen its role in responding to global economic risks.
