NEW DELHI, Muharram 13, 1436, Nov 6, 2014, SPA -- The Indian navy says one sailor has died and four others are missing as one of its torpedo recovery vessels sank after flooding off the southern coast, the latest accident to hit the navy, AP reported. Navy spokesman Capt. D.K. Sharma says 23 other sailors on board were rescued on Thursday by a navy search ship off Vishakhapatnam coast in Andhra Pradesh state. The cause of the accident is being investigated. The vessel was on a routine mission to recover practice torpedoes fired by the navy ships during a routine exercise. A gas leak on an Indian navy destroyer being built at the Mumbai dockyard killed a navy commander in March last year, and a fire on a navy submarine killed two officers in February. -- SPA 21:33 LOCAL TIME 18:33 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
