PARIS, Dhu Al-Qa'dah 24, 1435, Sep 19, 2014, SPA -- Four French airstrikes killed dozens of fighters from the terrorist Islamic State group in a contested area of northern Iraq, AP quoted Iraq's military spokesman as saying. French President Francois Hollande announced the first airstrikes Friday morning, saying Rafale fighter jets struck a logistics depot in northeastern Iraq, and the target was "entirely destroyed." The U.S. has also carried out airstrikes against the extremist group.
