Edinburgh, Dhu Al-Qa'dah 24, 1435, Sep 19, 2014, SPA -- Scotland voted to remain part of the United Kingdom early Friday by 55 per cent to 45 per cent, with almost all votes in the referendum counted, news agencies cited officials as saying. First Minister Alex Salmond said "On behalf of the Scottish government, I accept the result and I pledge to work constructively" with the British administration in London, which promised greater devolution in case of a No vote. "Scotland will expect this to be honoured in rapid course," he said. British Prime Minister David Cameron said he was "delighted" at the decision to "keep our country of four nations together." "It would have broken my heart to see our United Kingdom come to an end." --SPA 14:02 LOCAL TIME 11:02 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
