Washington, Dhu-AlQa'dah 23, 1435, Sep 18, 2014, SPA -- The U.S. Coast Guard said Thursday that a towboat sank in the Mississippi River near Chester, Illinois, causing it to restrict traffic in that part of the major commercial shipping waterway. The boat’s two crew members were rescued by another towboat, according to a statement from the Coast Guard. The vessel – Maverick – sank with roughly 13,248 liters of diesel fuel and an unknown amount of lube oil aboard, but there have not been any reports of fuel in the water. Pollution cleanup and salvage contractors have been called to the scene, the Coast Guard said. --SPA 20:56 LOCAL TIME 17:56 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
