KSA Calls for Continued Support of United Nations development funds

New York, Jumada II 08, 1439, February 24, 2018, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called for the need of continued support of United Nations development funds and expressed its concern about the declining of the key contributions to those funds that may resulted in a deficit that could be difficult to cover and could contribute significantly to the failure to achieve sustainable development goals as hoped . This came in KSA's statement in annual meeting of ambassador levels for Group of 77 and China in New York, delivered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to UN Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Maalami. Al-Maalami stressed the Kingdom's keenness to adhere to the harmony of the Group of 77 and China and to achieve their goals, pointing out that the collective work is the foundation of success and the pillar of its steadfastness, and the Group can consider the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a solid bridge of communication between partner countries and developing countries at both with firm steps towards achieving what we hope for.
