Cairo, Rajab 21, 1437, April 28, 2016, SPA -- The Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said it was investigating reports that 12 to 16 Egyptian citizens had been killed in unclear circumstances in neighbouring Libya, according to dpa. Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said initial information indicated that the Egyptians had been killed in a "clash" with people smugglers in the north-western town of Bani Walid. Abu Zeid said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry was in touch with the national unity government and local authorities to establish what had happened.
