Riyadh, Jumada II 6, 1437, Mar 15, 2016, SPA -- Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water took part in the 53rd meeting of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on Using Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes held in Vienna, Austria, on February 15-26, 2016, since the Award is an observer member of the United Nations Committee for the use of outer space for peaceful purposes. On the sidelines of the Committee's meetings, the Prize's delegation held intensive meetings with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) during which a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two sides to create the first international portal for specialists in space and water areas in the world.
