French President Receives Crown Prince, Grants Him National Order of the Legion of Honour

Paris, Jumada I 24, 1437, Mar 4, 2016, SPA -- President Francois Hollande of the French Republic received here today Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior. Upon arrival at Elysee Palace in Paris, memorial pictures were taken on this occasion. The Crown Prince shook hands with the French senior officials. The French President also shook hands with the Crown Prince s accompanying delegation. Following the audience, President Francois Hollande of the French Republic and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz held a session of official talks. At the outset of the session, the French President welcomed the Crown Prince, stressing importance of strong relations between the Kingdom and France. For his part, the Crown Prince conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the French President. In turn, the French President sent his greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. During the session of talks, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom and France and ways of enhancing and developing them in all fields, particularly joint cooperation for combating extremism and terrorism. The French President and the Crown Prince also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and exerted efforts towards them in addition to the two countries stances towards them. Following the session of talks, the French President granted the Crown Prince the National Order of the Legion of Honour - the highest national award in France - due to his great efforts in the region and world for combating extremism and terrorism. The audience and session of talks were attended by Minister of State and Cabinet s Member Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Said; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of France Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari; Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan; Adviser at the Royal Court Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Muhaisin; Deputy Director General of General Investigation Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qarni, and a number of French officials. --SPA 19:14 LOCAL TIME 16:14 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
