Four miners rescued in China after 36 days underground

Beijing, Rabi'II 19, 1437, January 29, 2016, SPA -- Four miners trapped for 36 days in a collapsed mine in eastern China were rescued late Friday, state media reported, according to dpa. The gypsum mine collapsed on December 25 in Pingyi County while 29 miners were working, according to Xinhua news agency. Immediately after the accident, 11 miners were saved, while one died and 13 others are still missing. The rescue team drilled four small tunnels after the accident and located the four trapped workers that were rescued today.
