Riyadh, Dhu-AlQa'dah 26, 1436, Sep 10, 2015, SPA -- On the sidelines of the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the United States of America, the Minister of Health, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih has met in Washington, with the US Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Mathews Burwell. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to develop and strengthen health cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. Moreover, Al-Falih and Burwell have signed a memorandum of understanding covering the areas of technology transfer and partnership in health research, allowing the health sector in the Kingdom access to the latest medical technology, training, control of infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases through the application of best practices in the field of health and development of human resources in the health sector to develop specialists in health care, as well as the provision of health information that allows active access to health care management to enhance patient care services.
