Voting starts in Bolivian presidential election

La Paz, Dhu-AlHijjah 18, 1435, October 12, 2014, SPA -- Polling stations opened Sunday in Bolivia for an election in which voters will get to pick a president and the members of both houses of Congress, dpa reported. Voting centres opened at 8 am (1200 GMT) and were set to close eight hours later. The first preliminary official results were expected at about 0000 GMT Monday, when exit poll results will also be allowed to be made public. More than 170 international observers were on hand to ensure that no infractions occur.
