Riyadh, May 30, 2022, SPA -- More than 9,000 15-year-old students completed today the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2022, after competing with 600,000 students from 79 member countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The study was applied electronically in several public schools over two days from May 29 to 30, targeting students' knowledge of both mathematical skills by 70%, and language skills by 30%, distributed between reading and science textbooks. PISA is a survey conducted every three years targeting 15-year-old students, to evaluate their acquisition of key knowledge in reading, science, and mathematics, as well as their ability to use their skills to solve everyday problems. The Kingdom’s male-female students participate for the second time in PISA 2022. The first participation was in 2018, as this step reflects the efforts of the Education Ministry to improve the outcomes of the educational process, as the results of the participating students contribute to providing indicators of strategic dimensions to the performance of the educational system in Saudi Arabia. --SPA 18:27 LOCAL TIME 15:27 GMT 0026 www.spa.gov.sa/w1740110
