Riyadh, February 24, 2022, SPA -- A delegation of 35 media professionals of different nationalities was briefed on the humanitarian, relief, and development efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), and the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY). This came during a visit by the delegation today to KSRelief headquarters, where they took part in a round table meeting that included the official Spokesperson of KSRelief, Dr. Samer Al-Jitaili, the program's head of communication for development, Khloud Al-Khalaqi, and the director of the program’s office in Marib, Ali Al-Dosari. The Spokesperson explained that the total humanitarian and relief projects implemented by KSRelief amounted to 1,911 various projects in 79 countries around the world, noting that Yemen topped the countries benefiting from the center’s aid projects, with the completed projects amounting to 678 projects worth $3.963237000 billion, which included the sectors of food security, health, shelter, water, environmental sanitation, education, and others. He also provided a detailed explanation of the specific programs of the center, namely the prosthetic limbs, the Project of "Masam" to clear the Yemeni lands of mines, and the project to rehabilitate child soldiers. For her part, SDRPY’s head of communication for development, Khloud Al-Khalaqi, said that the program provided 207 development projects and initiatives implemented in various Yemeni provinces to serve the Yemeni people, mainly in seven basic sectors including education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, as well as the capacity building of government institutions, and other development programs.
