Jakarta, Mar. 25, 2022, SPA -- Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia Elhaj Ma'ruf Amin received in Jakarta today Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the start of his official visit to Indonesia. During the meeting, they reviewed the distinguished ties binding the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them in the fields related to the service of Islamic action. Indonesia's Vice-President lauded the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries, the continuing cooperation in all fields, confirming that the leadership of the Kingdom is exerting strenuous efforts in the service of Islam and Muslims all over the world, citing Saudi Arabia's great services provided for pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors of the Prophet (pbuh) and the implementation of development projects designed to facilitate the performance of rituals to the admiration and recognition of all Muslims of the world. He also cited the Kingdom's dealing with coronavirus pandemic to guarantee the safety and health of pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors. For his part, Al Al-Sheikh reviewed the efforts being exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince for the service of Islam, the spread of moderation, fight against terrorism, violence and extremism, drawing the attention to the great leap witnessed by the Kingdom in all political, economic, social and cultural fields as part of the Kingdom's vision 2030.
