Manama, Apr. 16, 2022, SPA -- The Kingdom of Bahrain condemned the Israeli police storming of Al-Aqsa mosque which resulted in violence, injury and arrest of tens of worshippers, considering the move a provocation to Muslims feelings, particularly in this month of Ramadan. In a statement, the foreign ministry of Bahrain underscored the importance of respecting the sanctity of Al-Aqsa mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif as well as respecting the role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in caring for the holy sites and endowments according to international law and the current historical situation, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibility to cool the situation down to pave the way for a fair and inclusive peace process based on the two-state solution and the Arab initiative.
