Riyadh, February 06, 2023, SPA -- The President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Duailj, today signed a bilateral agreement of air transport services between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay. The Ambassador of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Nelson Jamil Shaaban, represented his country in the signing ceremony. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of air transport services and bilateral cooperation based on mutual benefit and respect in accordance with the regulations, laws, and instructions in both countries. It also sets regulatory frameworks for air transport between the two countries in a safe, orderly, and sound manner under the principles endorsed by the 1944 Chicago Convention. The agreement comes as part of the objectives of the civil aviation sector's strategy of building international partnerships and signing new bilateral agreements.
