Jeddah, June 19, 2022, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the deadly assault against a Sikh temple in Afghanistan’s capital city of Kabul on Saturday 18 June 2022. The heinous blast reportedly killed a worshipper and an Afghan security guard, leaving dozens gravely injured. The bloody assault followed close on the heels of another explosion that rocked a mosque in Afghanistan’s northern Kunduz province on Friday 17 June 2022. At least one worshipper was dead and few others were wounded. The OIC firmly decried the spate of attacks that recently targeted places of worship. This blind violence, the Organization stated, should not be allowed to derail the country from embracing the durable stability and security Afghan people and the rest of the world hope for.
