Final Qualifications for 23rd Local Competition of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Holy Quran Memorization to Kick off Tomorrow

Riyadh, March 9, 2022, SPA -- Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, final qualifications for the local competition of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Holy Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation for boys and girls in its 23rd session will kick off tomorrow. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the Secretariat General for the Holy Quran Award, where the total value of its awards is estimated at SAR 3,126,000 for winners of boys and girls in all categories. On the occasion, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and Supervisor General of the Holy Quran Award Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh said: “King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Holy Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation for boys and girls in its 23rd session stresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s concern with the Holy Quran since the reign of the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud until the reign of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince the Crown Prince. The minister noted that the competition will last till March 13, where 119 boys and girls will be competing, and there will be elite of judges, noting that the closing ceremony for boys will be held on Friday March 18 and the closing ceremony for girls will be held on Saturday March 19. --SPA 12:56 LOCAL TIME 09:56 GMT 0012 www.spa.gov.sa/w1703012
