Naif Arab University Organizes an International Symposium in Paris

Paris, Nov. 29, 2021, SPA -- The "Investigation, Criminal Liability in Fighting Crimes Involving Drugs and Falsified Medicines" Symposium began in Paris today, organized by Riyadh-based Naif Arab University of Security Sciences (NAUSS) in cooperation with the Paris-based International Institute of Research against Counterfeit Medicines (IRACM). The five-day event is part of a memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides with the aim of enhancing international Arab coordination and cooperation in the field of combating crimes involving drugs and counterfeit medicines through laws and agreements. The inauguration ceremony was attended by NAUSS President Dr. Abdulmajid bin Abdullah Al-Banyan, IRACM President Jean-David Levitte and IRACM Director Bernard Leroy. A total of 65 specialists from judicial, law enforcement, security and medical institutions from Bahrain, Comoros, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen participated in the symposium that seeks to getting acquainted with the latest methods of investigation in crimes of drugs and counterfeit medicines, identifying criminal liability scopes for crimes of drugs and counterfeit medicines, in addition to exchanging expertise and Arab and international experiments in combating the crimes of drugs and counterfeit medicines. --SPA 20:18 LOCAL TIME 17:18 GMT 0027 www.spa.gov.sa/w1657744
