Makkah, August 23, 2021, SPA -- On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, today washed the Holy Kaaba in the presence of his deputy Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Acting Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeed and President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais. Prince Khalid washed the inside of the Holy Kaaba with a mixture of Zamzam water and rose water through rubbing the wall of the Holy Kaaba with a piece of wet cloth of the mixture that had been prepared earlier by the General Presidency, amidst high preventive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais stressed that the occasion of washing the Holy Kaaba highlights the great attention that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s wise leadership places to the Two Holy Mosques.
