Bahrain, Kuwait Condemn Houthi Militia's Attacks against Saudi Arabia

Manama/Kuwait, Aug. 24, 2021, SPA -- The Kingdom of Bahrain condemned Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia's continuing attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a systematic way, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and all international laws and norms, denouncing the launching of a bomb-laden UAV towards Khamis Mushit, Saudi Arabia, targeting civilians and civilian objects, and praising the Saudi Air Defenses Forces, successfully intercepted and destroyed it. The Bahraini Foreign Ministry reiterated Bahrain's firm stance in all measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure its security and stability and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. The Ministry called on the international community to pressure the Houthi militia to accept the Saudi initiative for a ceasefire in Yemen, and its demand to stop such aggressive terrorist acts that undermine security and stability in the region. In a related development, the State of Kuwait also expressed its condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms, of the continuing attempts of the Houthi militia to threaten the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by targeting Khamis Mushait with a bomb-laden UAV. In a statement today, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said that the continuation of these aggressive acts and the escalation targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region, is a flagrant violation of the international rules and humanitarian law that requires the international community to deter such threats and hold the perpetrators accountable.
