Arab Ministers of Social Affairs Council Concluded 41st Meeting Under Saudi Presidency

Riyadh, Dec 22, 2021, SPA -- The Conference for the Management of Social Transformation Program for Social Affairs’ Arab Ministers (MOST), held under the theme “Various impacts of COVID-19 pandemic”, concluded here today. Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi said, “We meet here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today after the developments and updates that affected the entire world that witnessed changes in various fields since the outbreak and spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which requires us to reconsider mechanisms and procedures to deal with this crisis, in a bid to meet the aspirations and needs of Arab peoples, mainly in the social fields. Consequently, the plans and programs of our meeting should include a real response to these changes that our Arab region is currently witnessing through new visions and aspirations that are associated with the social welfare and security and sustainable development of our societies.” MOST is the first of its kind in the region through combining the action agenda of ministerial councils responsible for all social sectors at the level of ministers and senior officials to discuss recovery means from the COVID-19 pandemic and support Arab efforts aimed at moving forwards with implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. --SPA 20:04 LOCAL TIME 17:04 GMT 0028 www.spa.gov.sa/w1668872
