Riyadh, December 02, 2021, SPA-- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), participated in the International Alliance of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA), in the 2021 annual summit meeting being hosted by Brazil on 1 - 2 December 2021. The summit discussed the challenges for global regulators around the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in terms of requirements for registration and licensing of medicines and vaccines, monitoring their safety and efficacy after marketing, regulatory inspection of their manufacturers, and supervision of clinical trials, in addition to discussing what can be done in the future to promote better and faster responses for emergencies and making medical product development and manufacturing systems more flexible.
