New York, Oct. 24, 2021, SPA -- Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres received at the UN headquarters in New York the Secretary-General of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, who is also Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars and General Supervisor of the Forum for Civilization Communication. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the initiative presented by Dr. Al-Issa to strengthen international efforts to counter hatred and protect places of worship around the world through diverse and effective programs. Dr. Al-Issa expressed appreciation to Guterres for the great support he showed in the initiative, which was presented in the presence and support of Ronald Lauder, an American activist who advocates for building bridges and fighting hatred around the world.
