Canadian Ivanhoe Mines Ltd Founder Praises Saudi Arabia’s Procedures to Attract Foreign Investments in Mining Sector

Riyadh, December 28, 2021, SPA -- Founder and CEO of the Canadian Ivanhoe Mines Ltd Robert Friedland has commended the procedures that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has implemented to attract foreign investments in the mining sector, noting that it also took several steps and organizational and legislative procedures to attract investments in the sector. In a press statement, on the occasion of his participation in the Future Minerals Summit, slated to be held in Riyadh between January 11 and 13, Friedland expressed happiness for the participation, noting that the summit is important for the global mining sector. He also said that the summit will address, in one of its aspects, identifying a new mining center in the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa, pointing out that the Arab shield zone enjoys limitless potential, new infrastructure and has a strategic location close to global commercial markets. The CEO also said that the group is excited to be part of the investment mining community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has investments in 59 countries over the last 20 years. Friedland is considered among the credited voices in the mining industry and has received the Northern Miner’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and he is always named on the lists of the most influential in the mining industry.
