Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia's commitment to sustainability is at forefront of Vision 2030 policy agenda

Riyadh, September 28, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the wide development movement and conferences, forums and exhibitions held with the participation of officials and experts specialized in various sectors, demonstrate the reality of the economic and development ambition aiming to enhance sustainability since it is one of the most important goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Additionally, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exerts all efforts to achieve major achievements in implementation of the directives of the Saudi wise leadership for the prosperity of the country and citizens. Therefore, as the Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan said, sustainability have been at the forefront of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 policy agenda for the past several years, and a main goal in the overall development of the financial system, strengthening the role of the private sector and working with governments and commercial establishments around the world, which confirms Saudi Arabia’s insistence on distinguishing its economic leadership in word and deed. This is translated through the system of programs, initiatives and projects that enhance efforts to achieve sustainable development, including housing programs, digital transformation and quality of life, financial balance, and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program. The newspaper concluded that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia moves forward towards realizing qualitative achievements in different fields in order to build the economy of the future. In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s sustained efforts and unlimited sacrifices aimed at protecting the health of people during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis reflect its leadership role regarding protecting human beings and preserving their rights, whereas this is a consistent approach for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the country's unification by its founder, and until this prosperous era, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. Within the same context, the Ministry of Health Spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Al-Abdulaali confirmed that the remaining stages in confronting the pandemic are very important, adding that the indicators have proven that the Kingdom has always been in advanced ranks and a role model in combating the pandemic at the world level. These things affirm the success and effectiveness of the plans, precautionary and preventive measures that Saudi Arabia has taken. The newspaper further added that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 covered all the reasons for success, both from the perspective of construction and development as well as from the perspective of caution, prevention and good management, which was positively reflected on Saudi Arabia’s capabilities in addressing the pandemic, making the Kingdom a role model in this regard.
