Health Ministry Spokesperson: COVID-19 Active Cases Decreased, More than 5 Million Laboratory Tests Conducted

Riyadh, August 30, 2020, SPA -- Assistant Minister of Health and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali announced in a statement here today that the active cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) are decreasing, and reached 21,284, adding that the critical cases are declining. The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health added that 910 new confirmed cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 314,821 cases, including 21,284 active cases undergoing treatment. Of these, there are 1,545 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. He added that 30 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 3,870. As many as 1,226 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 289,667.
