Abu Dhabi, August 19, 2021, SPA -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias’ attempts to target civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a bomb-laden UAV, which was successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Coalition Forces. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), in a statement, stressed that these terror attacks by the Houthis reflect their blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms. The Ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stand to stop these recurrent and systematic attacks that target vital and civilian installations and the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also affirmed that the continuation of these attacks is a grave escalation that represents new evidence of these militias' attempts to undermine security and stability in the region. MoFAIC renewed the UAE’s full solidarity and standing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against whatever threatens its security and stability, in addition to supporting all Saudi Arabia’s taken measures to maintain its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents. It also stressed that the security of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is inseparable, and that any threat or danger to Saudi Arabia is considered a threat to the security and stability of the UAE. --SPA 13:35 LOCAL TIME 10:35 GMT 0010 www.spa.gov.sa/w1604568
