Saudi Press: KSrelief Delivered Aid Worth USD 4.4 billion to 53 Countries

Riyadh, August 22, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to support and to stand by all brotherly countries in times of crisis. Saudi Arabia has always provided all kinds of support to all countries in order to overcome their difficulties. Therefore, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) was established. KSrelief was established in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to coordinate and provide international relief to crisis-affected communities, alleviating people’s suffering. The daily further added with the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, KSrelief launched numerous programs and projects to support the affected countries. In this regard, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Friday directed KSrelief to urgently support the Republic of Tunisia with medical oxygen and its supplies, in order to contribute to meeting the needs of the Tunisian health sector to overcome the effects of the Corona pandemic (COVID-19). The newspaper concluded that KSrelief work has no limits. It has delivered aid worth USD 4.4 billion to 53 countries to date. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that an exceptional stage kicks off today as all teachers and academics today are back to work in schools and universities. Additionally, the main pillar of this safe return to in-person education is being fully vaccinated against the COVID-19. The newspaper further added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s government has exerted all efforts to confront the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It provided vaccines and established vaccination centers throughout the Kingdom to reach all people, especially students, in order to resume the in-person learning in a healthy and safe environment, applying all precautionary and preventive measures.
